Suwarna, M.Pd. and Prof. Dr. Suranto Aw., M.Pd., M.Si.. The competition advisor was Prof. Dr. Dra. Sri Harti Widyastuti, M.Hum. who currently serves as the Head of the Javanese Language Education Master Program at UNY.
Meinita and her team presented "Outing Class: An Effort to Improve Historical Thinking and Love of Culture." This concept combines historical and cultural learning through out-of-class activities. Javanese language, which is part of Javanese culture, can be elaborated with historical learning because both are interrelated. Outing class learning is intended to increase students' motivation to learn history and Javanese language as part of Javanese culture. Learning is done by taking students to historical places such as museums and the Yogyakarta Palace.
For their concept, Meinita and her friends managed to beat participants from 24 other countries. In addition to winning the gold medal, Meinita and her team also brought home a special award.
Congratulations, Meinita!
