The Bachelor of Javanese Language Education (BoJLE) of Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta aims to produce graduates who excel in Javanese language, literature and culture education. The advantageous geographical position in the center of Yogyakarta makes BoJLE to have the privilege in exploring and developing culture. The theoretical and practical courses taught by professional lecturers equip students to become Javanese language educators, asistant researchers of Javanese literature and culture, as well as professional practitioners in the field of Javanese literature and culture such as pranatacara (Master of Ceremony), pengrawit (Gamelan musicians), Javanese journalists, philologists, or Javanese writers. In accordance with the development of community needs, BoJLE follows the curriculum designed by the government, namely the MBKM Curriculum where students can add competencies according to the character of the profession they want to achieve. BoJLE curriculum is specially designed for students to be able to graduate on time in eight semesters. BoJLE also collaborates with other institutions both at home and abroad, thus making BoJLE of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta increasingly at the forefront of Javanese language learning at the state university level.
