157 new students of the Department of Javanese Language Education attended the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) event at the study program level which was held on Friday, August 9, 2024. This is the closing activity of the entire series of academic and non-academic environment activities previously organized at the university and faculty levels.

PKKMB at the department level aims to introduce the curriculum of the Department of Javanese Language Education and develop student independence. The event was attended by lecturers, senior students, and the PKKMB committee who were ready to guide the new students.

Before the event began, new students were welcomed with a dance performance by Javanese Language Education students. This was followed by remarks from the head of the Student Association and the head of the Department of Javanese Language Education.

The event continued with a departmental dialog that presented three narusmber. Mr. Dr. Doni Dwi Hartanto, M.Pd. opened the dialogue by introducing the structure of the Prodi curriculum and the MBKM program by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The dialogue was continued by Mr. Suryobintoro, M.Pd. who conveyed local wisdom-based business opportunities in accordance with the skills taught by the Study Program. The last session was closed by Nepty Yanuari who shared her experiences as a student during the MBKM program.

The PKKMB event was closed with new students singing the yells that had been made by going around the Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture.
