Kejawen: Journal of Javanese Culture, BoJLE Icon for Scientific Publication

Yogyakarta, October 12, 2020, the Javanese Language Education Study Program released an open access journal that can be accessed by the wider community. Access to the journal can be done by entering the old journal website, namely https://journal.uny.ac.id/index.php/kejawen/index. This journal is an old journal that was previously published periodically with printed publications. Kejawen: Journal of Javanese Culture, the name of the journal is the same as the name of the print journal that was published in the past. This journal has been vacuumed for some time from periodic scientific publications, the last few years the journal has not been managed properly. Prof. Dr. Suwardi Endraswara, M.Hum., as the head of the editorial team then together with the team tried to make changes by changing the management of printed journals to online-based journals with open access.

Changes in services with Open Journal System (OJS) based management are expected to reopen a more organized periodical scientific publication space. "With this Kejawen website, Kejawen can be seen and accessed by the public at large, anywhere and anytime", as stated by Prof. Dr. Suwardi Endraswara, M.Hum., as the head of the editorial team. The Journal Editorial Team has also been renewed, where the reviewers involved come from various well-known institutions and with convincing publication reputations. Journal management with OJS will become an icon in the field of publications for study programs. The higher demand for publication and the demand for online-based service management are also a driving force to continue to develop the journal website regularly.

Kejawen, as the name suggests, namely the Journal of Javanese Culture, then prepares a publication space for research results in the fields of Javanese language, literature, philology, art, and culture. Kejawen is a forum for open publication for academics, researchers, lecturers, students and other academics. Kejawen, will start publishing articles online starting in early 2021 with two issues in each year. It is hoped that Kejawen will soon be indexed and accredited, so that it will become a reputable publication journal both nationally and internationally. Of course, this is still very far away, but the editorial team is confident that with the start of the OJS journal website management, it will continue to develop in accordance with existing standards.
