Mobile Learning, Visiting Professor from UKM Malaysia

Yogyakarta, 12/11/2020-BoJLE held a Visiting Professor program in the Javanese Language Learning Media & IT course. On this occasion, the study program invited Prof. Dr. Supyan Hussin from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) as a guest speaker. The theme taken is based on his specialization and by taking into account the current conditions that require the use of Mobile learning (distance learning). The lecture for the Visiting Professor program this time was aimed at 5th semester students who were getting Learning Media courses. The Learning Media course for fifth semester students is taught by Nurhidayati, M.Hum., who indeed concentrates on the field of education and learning media expertise. Lectures are held in four face-to-face sessions using virtual meeting applications. In addition to virtual meetings, lectures are also held using the Telegram messaging application.

The first face-to-face lecture was held on Monday, October 26, 2020. At this meeting, students are introduced to the types of applications that are distinguished from their objectives, namely for self-study / learning with learning process bills. The second lecture was held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 by discussing the analysis of Javanese language learning applications in Indonesia, with the output of rating the application. The third lecture was held on Monday, November 9, 2020 by discussing the development of mobile apps, while the last lecture was held on Thursday, November 12, 2020. The material at this last meeting discussed analyzing & understanding mobile learning research. Lectures are always conducted online, blended using the telegram application for assignments and discussions, and web meetings using google meet & zoom.
